Gareth Williams began studying piano with Alan Granville. Later his extensive
study of singing led Gareth into a flourishing vocal career throughout the UK and
Europe. Gareth is in possession of an Honours and Masters degree in Music
and has been the recipient of numerous awards, including scholarships to study in
international masterclasses in Wales and with the London Royal Academy in Italy at
the Tosti institute.
Gareth has worked both in masterclass situations and privately with artists including
Malcolm Martineau, Simon Over, Diane Forlano, Barbara Pearson and Penny Mackay.
He also frequently performs with the coloratura soprano Lisa Cassidy (www.lisacassidy.org)
His unique combination of skills encompasses a thorough understanding of vocal technique, the ability to coach settings in a variety of languages and piano accompaniment at a high artistic level. Gareth’s students have gone on to study at all the major UK conservatoires and they frequently return for further coaching.
Many of Gareth’s students have taken up successful careers in the arts or have continued with their music in other arenas.
Gareth has helped many university students achieve success in music performance modules at Masters degree level and with ABRSM and Trinity/Guildhall exams, including performance diplomas.
Gareth teaches singing in the centre of Norwich and also via Zoom sessions worldwide.
